MO.CS made its debut last weekend in Gamapalooza Leg 1 held at Zone AdrenaLAN in Melbourne where 16 of Melbourne's teams battled it out in the first of two legs of the competition.
The division had a clean run until the winner bracket final, where we lost in overtime against immunity on Nuke. A solid game in the loserbracket final against KING led us to the grand final, where we fell on Dust2 to our previous winner bracket opponents.
Gamapalooza 3 Leg 1 Standings:
1. immunity
2. Team Modus Operandi
3. KING
We're now preparing for the final leg of the competition, which will see some interstate talent make an appearance. Some replays from the competition are available on our demos page. |

It is with great pleasure we announce a new partnership with fUnc Industries, LLC - makers of the famed fUnc series of mousepads.
Func have been producing top quality competition mousing surfaces for the past 7 years. Now, they continue to provide mousepads with unrivalled levels of customization to the average gamer.
Here at MO we're very happy to be the first eSports team fUnc has partnered with outside of the United States.
To date, our greatest successes, from Wolfenstein titles, to Quakecon, to our Movies have all been forged on a fUnc pad. For the future, we're looking forward to continued consistency and success on fUnc mousepads. |
Presenting Modus Operandi: Counter Strike

It is with great pleasure that we announce the beginning of a new era in Team Modus Operandi. After much deliberation and planning, the organization has expanded to become a multi-gaming team with the inclusion of a Counter Strike 1.6 division. It is a major shift in the MO camp, after having a sole focus on Wolfenstein for the past 3 years.
The new divisions lineup is as follows:
dvs
forge
rizE
sabu
winnii
Their most recent achievement was an equal 3rd placing at the World Cyber Games Finals in Brisbane, where they were eliminated in some close games by the team that went on to win the tournament.
The organization is releasing the following statements regarding the new division:
"It took an extensive search to find a Melbourne-based Counter Strike team that could fulfill the level of dedication and quality many have come to expect from a MO team. We're happy to say that it was worth the wait as we've been very impressed by the lineups discipline and experience. We have no doubt they will be a huge asset to the future of the organization."
- Andrew "Dman" Townsend, Manager
"We're really happy to be a part of an established brand in Australian eSports, with MO having a long standing history in Wolfenstein. We're confident MO will help make us a more professional team, leaving us to concentrate on the results rather than the logistics of competitive CS."
- Daniel "forge" Fox, Counter-Strike Division Leader
The divisions first engagement will be the upcoming series of Gamapalooza Tournaments based in Melbourne.
In the mean time, come say hello to the guys in #modus-operandi ! |
