ESWC VIC: MO bow out early
12.03.2007 15:40 by Demanufacturer
|

This weekend MO.CS attended the ESWC VIC qualifier. Despite 3rd seed and being tipped to place highly, the team unfortunately exited the competition early on taking a 9th-12th place finish. With no LAN events yet scheduled for the upcoming quarter, MO.CS will be on hiatus until the start of CAL/CEVO 1.6 in Australia.
The event itself ran smoothly with almost no delays whatsoever thanks to MadaajR, cokester and ZAM. There was a high number of spectators and lots of talent on show with lots of fun being had by all. Be sure to check out our photo gallery from the event by clicking on the pictures below.
ESWC Victorian Qualifier Results:
1. immunity (Flights to ESWC.AU Finals)
2. immineNt (Invite to ESWC.AU Finals)
3. stickmen

Modus Operandi answer the Call

It is with great pleasure we announce the expansion of the Modus Operandi organization with the inclusion of a Call of Duty 2 division. Whilst MO has a lot of Call of Duty talent in its ranks, this marks the first time we have branched into this franchise.
The new divisions lineup is as follows:
AND1
enema
MurDz
trailblazer
zer0in
Reserve:
juzz
Their most recent achievement was winning the GotGames LAN event in December, the biggest Australian LAN for COD2, along with a strong performance in Season 1 of GameArena COD2.
The organization is releasing the following statements regarding the new division:
"Wolfenstein and Call of Duty have always been intrinsically linked, from its use of the same game engine to the maturity of its communities. After extensive talks, we found that our new team shared many of the goals of the MO organization, and the same discipline and skill people have come to expect from MO players."
- Andrew "Dman" Townsend, Manager
"This is an amazing oppurtunity for myself and the other members of the newly formed Modus Operandi COD2 division. Its great to finally find a multigaming organization that is willing to support us and help us achieve our goals.
We couldn't have asked for a better lineup, and couldnt have imagined a warmer welcome from our now fellow MO members.
We look forward to a successful season, and especially look forward to molding a top team for the upcoming CEVO/CAL leagues. With MO's help, we will strive to emerge as the top Call of Duty 2 team in Australia."
- Andrew "AND1" McGrath, Call of Duty Division Leader
The division will be focusing on Season 2 of the GameArena Ladder along with the upcoming CEVO COD2 competition.

Status Check: MO.CS

Coming off of a solid result at ZAM Summer, the guys have been busy preparing for our upcoming ESWC campaign.
Recently we have played several online matches, mostly from Zone AdrenaLAN, securing and successfully defending the #1 rank on the Australian Counter Strike Ladder (AUCSL.)
The team was also invited to compete in the StensGaming Invitational which features 10 of Australia's best LAN teams in an online league with a $500 1st place prize.
Despite being seeded 10th out of the 10 teams invited, MO.CS pulled no punches in their first game against the #1 seeded team immunity, with MO.CS defeating the Melbourne rivals in a strong 19-11 win on Nuke.
See below for coverage of both the AUCSL and SG Invitational competitions.

Today we're proud to present our GameArena Enemy Territory Season 9 Lineup, featuring 3 of last seasons starters and 3 "new" faces.
First up, Kyle "Serp" Abernethy - Veteran of Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Quake 3 CPMA and more recently Enemy Territory. Kyle has a long history LAN'ing alongside co-starter Wayne "haste" Arnold, the pair having met in grade 1 back in 1994. He brings with him a wealth of FPS experience across many Quake3 engine games, sporting excellent movement, aim and adaptability.
Secondly, Mark "ike" Watson - A long time Wolfenstein player who has 3 GameArena Championships to his name. Hot off of back to back GA titles with Adversus, Mark is in-form and will be working to refine his already excellent game.
Last but definitely not least, the return of Nick "schism" Brown - a starting member of MO's famed Season 3 and Quakecon lineups. Nick will bring international Wolfenstein experience back to the division, along with the dominating style of play he has become so well known for.
Of note is that bases 5 of our ET players in Queensland and 1 in New South Wales.
The lineup:
Chevron
haste
ike
schism
Serp
shaggy
Please join us in welcoming the new players to mo.et, and we'll see you all in Season 9 and the upcoming Aus-ET tournament.
