Now accepting Donations...
01.07.2005 14:13 by Demanufacturer

As many already know, we here at Modus-Operandi are unable to fully pay our way to Quakecon 2005. Although we were doubtful at first of getting there due to our financial situation, the fact that we're the first Australian team to ever be extended an invite seemed too good an opportunity to pass up. However, what finally made us truly adamant in attending the world stage was the overwhelming and utterly moving show of hands from those willing to pitch in and get us over there. We are blessed to have that kind of support, thank you to each and every one of you. To that end, we have set up a PayPal account to collect donations for the express purpose of attending Quakecon. You can find the link below..

Alternatively, if you can't make a donation via PayPal, you can make a direct deposit to mo*warmachine's account, the details of which are:

Name: Ken Lim
BSB: 733121
ACC: 557540

He is one of our most trusted, having been with Modus-Operandi since the beginning, when not as a player, in spirit. He will be sure to keep the collections safe. He also has no passport and cannot leave the country =)

It needn't be said but any contributions would be greatly appreciated.
At the moment we are working very hard to secure sponsorship to attend Quakecon. In the event we secure a full sponsorship covering all travel/lodging costs, or if for any reason Modus Operandi does not attend Quakecon 2005, all donations received will be returned/refunded. Should you choose to make a donation, please retain and notify us of your transaction number so that we know who we owe thanks to and who should refund if our attendance falls through. You can send those details to donations@modus-operandi.com.au. Thank you all once again for your support, trust and generosity.
IRC & Script Updates
14.06.2005 21:23 by Demanufacturer

Recently we closed up shop on EnterTheGame and moved our main international IRC channel to Quakenet. For more information on Quakenet, visit www.quakenet.org - and be sure to visit us in #modus-operandi !

We have also released an update to our ET Script Pack which is now at version 1.1. We released the spawn timer/selection/dynamite timer scripts after our GameArena Season 3 Campaign and they have since become quite popular. As we have had to update them to support both the new GA and Quakecon maps for ourselves, we decided to release the update to the public aswell.

You can download the script pack from our Media page here.
MO Invited to Quakecon 2005
30.06.2005 21:59 by Demanufacturer

Yesterday marked the end of the Online Qualifiers for the Quakecon 2005 Enemy Territory Tournament...

We were scheduled to face the american team LAN Lordz first up.. Unforunately they failed to show up at match time, which saw us gain a forfeit win and moved us into Round 2. Despite our opponents being a no-show, we'd like to thank everyone who came out to support us.

In the 2nd round we were pitted against Kreaturen. The leadup to the game saw the majority of the international ET community backing Kreaturen for the win as they were a higher seeded and revered european team. Our intense preparations for the qualifiers paid off however as we secured a strong 6-0 win, becoming the first Australasian eSports team to be invited to compete in Quakecon, ever!

You can find statistics and demos in our match report here.

We would also like to say a huge thanks, again, to eveyone who turned out to support us during this match! Having so many of you there cheering us on was a great feeling for us during the game. For those who werent there, you can find a screenshot of the Ventrilo Channel after the game when we came to say hi to everyone here.

Last night we were interviewed on GameStah Radio regarding qualifying for Quakecon, you can download the interview here (MP3, 3mb.)
Vindication, a week later...
30.05.2005 00:36 by Demanufacturer

It's been a little over a week after the release of Vindication, and we're lucky to be able to say the distribution and feedback has been fantastic. Thankyou to everyone who made this possible, the movie has already had over 3,000 downloads worldwide.

A big thankyou also goes out to the Oceania, American and European Wolfenstein communities for being so accepting of the movie.

On Thursday the 26th I was interviewed on Gamestah Radio regarding Vindication, you can find that interview here (MP3, 2.5mb)

A long winded analysis and overview of the production of the movie can be found on the DINFW Production forums here.
Vindication Released
20.05.2005 04:51 by Demanufacturer

As promised, we are proud to announce the release of Vindication. This is the movie discussed in the Chrisis interview, showing a real-time reconstruction of the last round of the GA ET S3 Grand Final. It features uncensored voice communications from the team, recorded live during the round. Some language used may offend some viewers.

As we didnt allow GameStah into our "war room" (Ventrilo) during the match, we have produced this movie to show exactly how we operated during the last round and how we acted at one of our most private and satisfying moments as a team.

The movie weighs in at 167mb and goes for 8 minutes. A hefty filesize however the picture quality was needed.

A big thanks goes out to both a local player Bite Me from clan OFS for providing a temporary mirror when the QuickSpeed servers crashed due to too many requests (twice.)

Also thanks to Wussie from own-age.com, stix from sweRTCW.com & Xinhua from daemongaming.com for providing mirrors for the movie.
