With Quakecon just a week away, our preparations have been going smoothly. We've managed 3 hours a night for the last 4 weeks, making this our largest preparation for an event ever.

Heres a rundown of how we'll be getting there, due to there being so many questions! =)

The road to Quakecon will begin for half the team on Monday the 8th. Dman, courageous & furiousengel will be flying into Sydney to meet up with schism & xeno. We'll be bunking for a night at warmachine's house (we'll try to sneak saiz in there if we can) and then flying out of Sydney on Tuesday. Our flight will take us to Auckland, New Zealand first up, where we'll meet angelus (who will have just flown from Brisbane,) calvin & DanZai|. From there we'll have a 12 hour flight in cramped and stuffy economy seats, which will surely be a bonding experience... we hope. We'll then arrive in Los Angeles, then fly out to Dallas.. arriving there in the evening then hitting the sack ASAP. Almost all of us will have been flying for 18 hours, starting on the 9th.. but we'll actually be going "back in time" and arriving in Dallas on the 9th aswell.

After a good nights sleep, we'll be bootcamping with Team Check 6 (aka u96d, last EuroCup Winners) for 12 hours to get gelled and prepared for LAN play.

After the bootcamp we'll be heading back to the hotel for some rest, getting up at 10AM the next day and our first match will be @ 8PM (Dallas time) vs Darkside.

To keep the community up to date with our travels, furiousengel will be posting a "Quakecon Diary" on our site once a day while we're away, beginning on Monday. We'll try to post pictures if we can, but we'll most likely be posting galleries after we get back. Stay tuned for this as its sure to provide some interesting feminine insights into a team of guys going to America to play ET =)

Other good news is that we've entered into an agreement with Gamestah, Australia's premier shoutcasting network. They have provided us some much needed assistance in our Quakecon Campaign, and thus are featured on our Quakecon uniforms! Above are the official shirt mockups, which we'll be picking up come Friday!

We'd also like to take this opportunity to thank Dabbles & MsC for their assistance by providing us with resources to help in our preparation for Quakecon, Karl for helping out with our travel plans and ofcourse thanks again to everyone who donated, this would not have been possible without you!
xeno joins mo.et

We're excited to announce that Justin "xeno" Maguire has been added to our ET roster. Justin comes from a long history of Wolfenstein gaming, most notably in teams Fear and Kindred. Even though he currently resides in Australia, Justin was born and raised in New Zealand, making a third of our ET squad hail from across the tasman!

Justin will be accompanying us on our journey to Dallas next month, both as a reserve player and staff member.
BennyB departs MO - Qcon roster shifts...

After almost 3 months with Modus Operandi, BennyB has left the team. BennyB would be a great asset to any team as he has proven in his time with our ET squad.

Modus Operandi would like to take this opportunity to thank BennyB for his time in MO, and we wish him the best of luck in the future.

With Quakecon around the corner, the loss of one of our starting players is disappointing, however long-time MO member Nick "schism" Brown will be filling the now-empty seat.

Nick is a seamless fit into our current squad, both with recent experience and a history of achievements with MO. Having been in every title winning match MO has played, we look forward to him bolstering our synergy whilst at Quakecon.
MO ATTENDING QUAKECON 2005!
15.07.2005 10:56 by Demanufacturer

Today MO received final confirmation on our invite to attend Quakecon 2005. With a deadline of the 15th of July, we had to prove to Quakecon we were able to get to Texas in August with plane tickets paid for and hotels booked.

Thanks to the generous donations of the community, we were able to cover the costs and meet the deadline. We raised $1400 in donations with the majority coming from Australasia but also donations arriving from as far away as Brazil and the UK. We want to thank everyone who donated and, as stated, we will be saying thanks again to all of you individually in the MO Movie. We cannot fully express how moving it is has been for all of us here at MO to see so many people out there pitching in to help us. Thank you everyone, you have given us more encouragement, motivation and support than we could've ever hoped for!

However, even after pooling all of our own funds together with the $1400 in donations, we were still short the money to get one of our players there. Luckily, Latch came along and generously donated 1 full ticket to America. We're still in awe of the man's kindness. This ticket was the final link in the chain which finally allowed us to tell Quakecon; "Oceania is coming!"

One final notice to people who donated via direct deposit! Please email donations@modus-operandi.com.au letting us know the amount, date & time you transferred the money! We are still working hard to obtain a sponsor to be able to recoup costs and repay the donations.

Here is a list of those who donated, in alphabetical order. If you direct deposited money and your name is not here, email us! Thanks again!
