This Friday MO will be playing off against Adversus for #1 rung on the GameArena Ladder.

By all accounts this should be an exciting match to watch, as both teams have been practicing hard. With the Australian community divided, theres no majority opinion on who will come out on top. Make sure you dont miss out on what will surely be an entertaining start to your Friday night!

SlashQuit ET Delayed!
30.06.2006 17:56 by Demanufacturer

SlashQuit released the following statement regarding some delays in the league:

"Unfortunately on Sunday night during an official match, the servers disappeared from the network.

Our admin went out and rebooted the machine yesterday but it has died again. We seem to have a batch of dodgy motherboards that are being replaced."

They're hoping to be underway within a week or so. We'll be aiming to work through our group matches on non SQ servers if possible, however ETTV coverage of those games is unlikely unfortunately.

In Retrospect - what we've been up to..

Just a recap and reflection upon recent happenings that have taken place over the previous weeks since emerging from a relative state of inactivity.

April saw us holding the second mo*workshop, an event aimed at helping lower-mid tier teams improve their tactics and teamwork. The experience lasted around 2 hours, involving numerous discussions covering the fundamentals of some core Supply Depot strategies. We hope those whom attended found it to be a somewhat useful and enjoyable experience, which seemed to be the case due to the mostly positive feedback. We may consider the prospect of running another later on down the track.

With the announcement of our return to a more significant portion of the Wolfenstein and Enemy Territory scene we were in need of a number of players due to older members retiring and moving on to other things. As a result, Alex "ringo" McVeity and Wayne "haste" Arnold both sharing relatively similar gaming backgrounds, were brought into the MO roster, thus finalizing our line up for the upcoming competitions.

With the new additions was also a loss, Justin "xenz" Maguire left the team with a view to retiring from competitive gaming. Justin went to Quakecon with us and will be missed. We wish him all the best for the future.

With the new line up together for their first time MO entered the AusTourney Return To Castle Wolfenstein knockout competition. With many members possessing a strong RTCW background MO put in a good showing facing off against some old school and new school talent alike in some good games, eventually taking the final out on a fitting RTCW favourite, mp_beach.

With RTCW out of the way, we shifted our focus towards ET and practising up on its various skills and particulars. Scaling the GameArena ladder at a moderate pace we will likely be looking to playing some big name matches in the coming weeks as we hit the top 10.

With the Slashquit tournament about to commence and Gamearena Season 7 well underway both looking to provide some great games, we're looking forward to what should be interesting weeks ahead.
